I grew up in Loretto, TN which is a small town south of Nashville near the Alabama State line. As a child I was raised on a small farm with my mom and 2 younger brothers. We lived next door to my grandparents and we have always been very close.

After high school, I moved to Nashville and attended Belmont University. I loved Belmont and had many great experiences. In 2003 I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Health and Human Performance from Belmont. Later that year I married my husband, Dave, who is also from Loretto. I then attended Tennessee State University to pursue an endorsement in English Language Learners.

I began teaching in 2003 and continually fall in love with the profession every day. I have taught kindergarten, second and third grades. I have truly loved every grade that I have taught. I believe that all students are learners and that I am there to help facilitate and guide their learning. Personally, my husband and I have two beautiful daughters, Gabby and Gracie. They are the light of our eyes. We love to spend time at the zoo, library, lake, and pool. Both of my daughters have also attended Mt. View. My children have both received a top notch education and I am proud they could be at school with me.
